Ferayle Davis Floyd, 85, of 106 Brownwood Avenue, Asheville, died Wednesday, August 2, 2000, in an Asheville hospital.

Mrs. Floyd was born in Swain County and was a daughter of the late Sam E. and Eva McHan Davis. She was married to Lonnie D. Floyd who died in 1966. She was a retired legal secretary and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane Pinkerton of Candler and Ann Penland and her husband Johnny of Candler; one son, David Floyd of Asheville; four grandchildren, Kim Pinkerton of Asheville and Rick Pinkerton and his wife Charemon of Candler, Kathy Buckner and her husband Mike of Candler, and Beth Tuten and her husband Tommy of Asheville; six great-grandchildren, Witt Pinkerton, Lauren Pinkerton, John Buckner and Laura Buckner of Candler and Jared Tuten and Mary Tuten of Asheville; three sisters, Pauline Davis of Guntersville, AL, Loyal Mathis of Knoxville, TN, and Kate Ashe of Winston-Salem; and three brothers, Frank Davis of Oklahoma, Willard Davis of Kingston, TN, and Harold Davis of Bryson City.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Don Ashe, officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 am Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
