Elsie Mae Brock, 97, of 98 Beaverdam Loop, Candler, died Monday, July 31, 2000 in a local
nursing facility.
A native of Haywood County, she was the wife of the late Andy J. Brock. She was also preceded in death by a son Grady W. Brock. She was a member of Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Helen Massie and a son Warren G. Brock both of Candler; a daughter-in-law, Virginia Brock of Birmingham, AL; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Reverend Robert E.
Harris will officiate.
Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue.
Elsie was such a grand lady. She was a big influence to me in my teenage years and always offered sound, Godly advice. Elsie and Andy will always hold special places in my heart. My deepest sympathy goes out to all the family.
