Linda Sue Peters

Linda Sue Elder Peters, 61, of 610 Enka Lake Road, Candler, died Thursday, October 9, 2003, at her home. A native of Taylorsville, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Maude Webster Elder. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Edith Mitchell. She was a former employee of A&M Tool. Survivors include her husband, John “Jack” Peters; two daughters, Sherry Miller and Angela Angel, both of Asheville; a son, Roger Miller of Asheville; three stepchildren, Steve Peters of Knoxville, Jean Propst of Polkton and Christina Westfall of Monroe, two sisters, Marie Reid and Marlene Jarrell of Taylorsville; three brothers, Bobby Elder and Gary Elder of Taylorsville and Lindsey Elder of Fort Pierce, FL; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Jerry Pennell officiating. Her family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times will be at 610 Enka Lake Road, Candler.
