S. Beauford Moore

S. Beauford Moore, 79, of 1053 Clark’s Branch Road, Asheville, died Monday, February 21, 2000.

Mr. Moore was a native of Rutherford County and was a son of the late Perry and Laura Moore. He was married to Sylva Price Moore who died in 1998, and he was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Mr. Moore was retired from Ethan Allen.

He is survived by three daughters, Jo Ann Gossett, Geraldine Black and Susie Moore of Leicester; two sons, J. Harold Moore of Leicester and John Moore of Candler; a sister, Evelyn Oates of Waco, NC; a brother, Junior Moore of Forest City; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Jake Fender and Charles Phillips officiating. Graveside rites will be conducted by the Rev. Don Gasperson at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
