Gabriella H. Tyrone, 97, died Wednesday, January 19, 2000, at her home at the Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Center.

Mrs. Tyrone was born March 28, 1902, in Denver, CO, was a daughter of the late Otto and Anna Belle Wood Achleitner, and was married to John H. Tyrone, who died in 1981. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Alpha White and Florence Varian.

She worked as a bookkeeper in the home office of Safeway Supermarkets in Denver until her retirement. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout the world and in 1989 she moved from Denver to be near her relatives. In 1993, she moved to Deerfield where she resided until her death.

She is survived by several great nieces.

A memorial service will be at 4:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2000, at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 3070 Sweeten Creek Road, conducted by the Rev. David Morgan. Entombment will be at a later date in Denver.
