Arthur Eugene King

Arthur Eugene King, 78, of Asheville, died Friday, September 26, 2003. Mr. King was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Jessie and Martha Gussie Wilson King. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Esther Annie Scruggs King, three brothers and three sisters. He was a Marine Corps veteran of WW II and was a retired automobile mechanic. Surviving are his son, Ronnie Culhane of Wyandotte, MI and a grandson, Christopher Culhane of Westland, MI. Graveside services will be at 11:00 Monday at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens in Chesnee, SC. His family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
