Frankie Carpenter Huffman

Frankie Carpenter "Sue" Huffman, 89, of 78 Ivanhoe Avenue, died Thursday, July 22, 2010. Mrs. Huffman was born in Claremont and was a daughter of the late Fred L. and Lois Gantt Carpenter. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ted and Joe Carpenter. She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert Huffman; two daughters, Lisa Schaller and her husband, Scott, of Gun Barrel City, TX, and Gloria Trexler and her husband, William, of Candler; and six grandchildren, Wyatt, Marisol and Rileigh Schaller, and Kiah, Eddie and Allen Trexler. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Michael McFarland officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery, Claremont. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
