Alma Lee Tipton

Mrs. Tipton was born in Swain County and had lived in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Herbert and Tisha Kirkland Sizemore and was married to the late William Hanford Tipton. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant, and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy White of Candler; a granddaughter, Rita L. Moody of Candler; a great-grandson, Cameron S. Moody; a sister, Naomi Cable of Tennessee and a brother, Earl Sizemore of Asheville.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm Monday, January 3, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Reardon officiating.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
