Alph T. Williams

A native of Henderson County, NC, he was the son of the late Samuel and Winifred Freeman Williams. He served with the U.S. Army in the Signal Corps and was an engineer with the
Jacksonville, Florida Port Authority and with First Union National Bank.  He was a member
of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Fraternal Order of Police.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Hart Williams; a son Terry Williams and his wife Cindy of Jacksonville and a grandson, Samuel Tanner Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday in the Church of the Transfiguration in Bat Cave, conducted by Father James Hindle.  Burial will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian where Mr. Williams will remain until being placed in the church.

Memorials may be made to the Bat Cave Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department or to the San Jose Episcopal Day School in Jacksonville, Florida.
