Paul F. Parris

Paul F. Parris, 87, of 2127 New Leicester Highway, Leicester, died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at his home.

Mr. Parris was born in Madison County and was a son of the late William and Jessie Ammons Parris. He was a certified orthotist in hearing aid sales and was a member of the NC Hearing Aid Society.

He is survived by his wife, Hellen Stevens Parris; a daughter, Donna P. Brakefield of North Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers, William Parris, Jr. and Rex Parris; two grandchildren, Kelly Brakefield and Jennifer Coughlon, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Sunday at Leicester United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Revs. Richard Patzfahl and Ralph Jacks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Saturday at Groce Funeral Home and request that memorials be made to Leicester United Methodist Church.
