A native of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Grady and Minnie Johnson Bradley. She was the wife of the late Jesse McAbee who died in 1981 and was a member of Carolina Baptist Tabernacle.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Gail and Larry Cody of Weaverville; a son Roy McAbee of Asheville; two sisters, Carrie Harvey and Marie Greene both of Black Mountain; and a granddaughter Ashely Cody.
Funeral services will be 7:30 pm Friday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Lanny Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until service time.
