Harry William Fox, 89, of 48 Fox Road, Fairview, died Wednesday, February 24, 1999, in an Asheville hospital.
Mr. Fox was born in Buncombe COunty and was a son of the late Thomas and Lilly Burnette Fox. He was married to Lucille Searcy Fox, who died March 23, 1993. He was a former heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by four daughters, Raye Bane, Phyllis Earley, Betty Weiss, and Margaret Prewett; three sons, Richard, Thomas, and Billy Fox; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm Saturday at Bethany United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ed Worley and Avery Owenby officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
