William Ernest Lewis, Sr.

Mr. Lewis was born in Henderson County and was a son of the lkate Carl Edward and Hester Melinda Maxwell Lewis.  He was also preceded in death by two children, William Ernest Lewis, Jr., annd Mildred Virginia Thomas Savitski, and two grandchildren, Randy Penland and Kenneth Lewis.  He was a retired painter.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Fisher and her husband David, Shirley Taeuber, Judy Williams and her husband Clarence and Carolyn Owens and her husband Don;  a son, Robert Edward Lewis;  two sisters, Sally Kate Lamb and Juanita Lusk;  two brothers, Tom Lewis and Odell Lewis;  31 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
