Funeral services for Mr. Morris will be at 11:00 am Saturday, August 1, 1998, at Groce Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Derrill Smith and Phil Dillingham will officiate with burial to follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park
.Mr. Morris was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late G.A. and Sarah E. Marshall Morris. He was a Navy veteran of WW 2 and was a retired Captain with the Asheville Fire Department. He was a 40-year member of the Royal Arcanum and a member of Biltmore Lodge #446, A.F. & A.M.. He was also a member of Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Dillingham Morris; a daughter, Judy Duckett of Asheville; a son, Larry McKinney of Thomasville; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to the Lions Club or the Diabetes Foundation.
