Elsie Brown Barnes

October 29, 1911 ~ July 9, 1998

Funeral services for Mrs. Barnes will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Little Sandy United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Revs. Russell Gillespie and Terry Burke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents, John Tyler Brown and Eliza Jane Ausin Brown, her husband, Columbus Baxter Barnes, and a daughter, Bernice Frisbee.

She is survived by two daughters, Melba Burke and Mary Meadows; sisters, Selma Hill and Mary Sluder; a brother, Burnett Brown; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
