June Curtis Turk

June Curtis Turk, 79, of 16-D Windflower Court, Asheville, died Friday, August 22, 2003, at a local hospital. A native of Mobile, AL, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Inez Curtis and was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore W. Turk, who died in 1998. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Turk is survived by a daughter, June Sharon Achtellik and her husband Greg of Asheville; a sister, Mary Marney and her husband Ben of Hollidaysburg, PA; a niece, Leah Carr; a nephew, Barton Marney; one great-nephew and four great-nieces. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Donald N. Welborn officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, AL.
