Ora Davis Kimble

Asheville – Ora Davis Kimble, 90, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009. A native of Pikeville, KY, she was the daughter of the late David and Sarah Thompson Adams and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Billie C. Whitley. Ora enjoyed quilting, cooking and most importantly, spending time with her family. She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Folsom and husband, Dexter, of Chelsea, MI, Ora Morrison and husband, Randal, of Asheville, Peggy Nunez and husband, Tony, of Elgin, IL; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Reverend Perry Brindley. Interment will follow in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road.
