THEODORE FRANKLIN HERILA
Arden ~ Theodore Franklin Herila, 51, of Saddlewood Lane and formerly of Rose Hill Road, died on Friday, January 23, 2009 at the John F. Keever Solace Center.
He was born February 15, 1957 in English, WV and was the son of Bobbie Bell Smith, of Erwin, TN and of the late Mike Herila, Sr. He was recently employed with Tucker Materials in Fletcher.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Salli Smeltzer Herila; three sons, Jase Herila of Arden, Jesse Herila of Asheville and Theodore Herila, II of Arden; two step-sons, Shane and Freddy Smeltzer, both of Asheville; three grandchildren, Tyler, Devon and Bella; two sisters, Freda McCurry of Asheville and Mary Bailey of Erwin, TN; a brother, Mike Herila and his wife, Mary, of Asheville and special niece, Stephanie McCurry.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Chaplin Kent Withington officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of Theodore Herila, C/O Jesse Herila, 85 Mills Gap Road, Asheville, NC 28803 to help with funeral expenses.
