James Joseph Swan

Asheville, NC – James "Jim" Joseph Swan, Sr., passed away peacefully on October 9, 2008, at age 74, in Asheville where he had lived in assisted living the past four years. He was born May 29, 1934 in Steubenville, Ohio to parents, Frank and Jeanette Swan. He was married and devoted to his wife, Mary JoAnn Mascolino Swan for 41 years before she died in 1999. They had three children, Jim, Jr., Ginger, and Tony. Jim is survived by his children, Jim, Jr., of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., daughter, Ginger (Hall) of Asheville and son, Tony of Klamath Falls, Oregon; grand-children, Jacob, Antonia, Ryan, David, Grazia, Ronan and great grandchildren, Christian and Zachary; sister, Rita Moors; nephew Bill and niece, Melissa. Sunday he will be laid to rest beside his wife after a private family service at Lee Memory Gardens in Sanford, NC.
