I loved you Gramma, and I will miss you more than words can say. We sewed together, and cooked, and gardened, and made paper dolls. We ate crackers and built dollhouses. I have missed Me Too and playing at your house and visiting Baa. Have a safe trip, and sleep well now.
Aunt Kath, I always enjoyed visiting with you as a little girl and know that you were always so very special to our mother. I always loved hearing the stories about the two of you that Mother shared with us. You were a gentle spirit and I will always remember your smile and sweet nature.
May you rest in peace.
I would like to send my condolences to the Compton family. I am sorry for your loss. Aunt Kathy’s sister Joan passed away a little less than 2 years ago, and I know how hard it is to lose your Mother (and Father). As I took care of my mother through her last years, I think about the dedication Aunt Kathy had to Grandma Reynolds. She was always there for her and took care of her physical and emotional needs. I remember visiting the Compton family when I was an early teen (1975?). Aunt Kathy would escape with the Hersman girls and be so funny! We would talk of so many silly things. I laughed until I cried. Someday, somehow, I know we will all be together again. My prayers are with the family. Rosie
My sincere condolences to Aunt Kath’s children and families.I last saw her this past winter when we brought my parents, Mary (Kath’s sister) and Gerry Grant to Camarillo. We were able to speak to each other and she still had that cute smile and gentle voice I remembered from childhood. She graciously opened her Florida home to my family when we were traveling in that area a few summers ago.I will always treasure her as a special aunt.
May her soul rest in peace with the Lord.

My sincere condolences to Aunt Kath’s entire family. I remember wonderful summer vacations spent visiting Aunt Kath, Uncle Bud & cousins. Remember the childhood summer vacation at Ocean Drive Beach? 1976 was a growing up year for me in Oxnard and Camarillo California. Aunt Kath was always there to talk to,for advice, love and support. Behind that great smile and gentle voice was a terrific laugh & a wonderful ZEST for LIFE !! Gayle & I visited Aunt Kath in Florida and were made very comfortable in her home. Today, Friday, September 26th Aunt Kath went to her final resting place in Asheville, N.C. Until we all join in the great reunion in Heaven with our Lord, may you rest in peace, Aunt Kath
I will miss Aunt Kathy so very much. She was always so sweet.
I have so many memories of all the times our two families spent together. The long summer days at the big house in Camarillo. Always the youngest, too little to do what the others did! Aunt Kath always having a hug or a chair to share when I was left out.
Aunt Kath always wanted a girl so she treated Peggi, Phyllis and I as her girls. I still have a little calico cat apron she made for me when I was only 3 or 4. It makes me smile when I see it because I see Aunt Kathy with her smile and remember her sweetness.
The times that Aunt Kathy made it to the hospital when Mother was dying, especially so soon after Grandma Reynolds died, meant so much to Mother. I know that now the three sisters and Uncle Bill are together again with Grandma and Grandpa watching over all of us.
Our family has lost another wonderful, strong woman who will always be remembered with love.
Rest in peace, Aunt Kathy, you deserve it.

So Sorry to hear about Aunt Kathy’s passing! She has always held a special place in my heart as I was named after her. I also had the pleasure of having all boys (4) like she did. On one of her last visits to my mom and dad’s in Ohio we both remarked that we wouldn’t have changed a thing!
I always enjoyed our visits with your family when you still lived in Illinois. I think one of my fondest memories was the little doll she sent me when I was little. She had made the clothes for it and I thought it was the prettiest thing I had ever seen. I saved that little doll for years ‘
’cause I thought it was too pretty to play with, and I was going to save it for my little girl someday.
I never had that little girl, But I would occasionly get it out and remember your mom!
I sent my prayers and thoughts to all of you!
Love, Kathy
(Joan’s daughter)
My G’ma Mary Grant, holds so many dear memories of her sister. G’ma Mary always looked forward to Kath’s phone calls and thier Florida trips. They had a special ‘bond’. I remember meeting Aunt Kath & Uncle Bud at a New Orleans, LA campsite in the summer of 1991. Her gentle touch, & warm smile will always be remembered. May she always feel the love of her family & friends. God Bless you always Aunt Kath. Martha (Dunlevy) Peters (Rica’s daughter)
