Swannanoa – Miguel Prieto Urbina, 27, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at his residence.
A native of Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, he was the son of Bertha Urbina Peñaloza and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Miguel Urbina Moreno and Ofelia Peñaloza Garcia.
Miguel was the kitchen manager at the La Paz Restaurant.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Gabriel Miguel Prieto of Asheville and his family in Mexico, Eduardo Prieto Urbina, Erika Prieto Urbina, Berenice Prieto Urbina, Geraldo Prieto Urbina, Maria de la luz Urbina Peñaloza, Patricia Urbina Peñaloza, Teresa Urbina Peñaloza and Raphael Urbina Peñaloza.
A celebration of Miguel's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2008, at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
A reception will follow at the La Paz Restaurant Monday evening.

Miguel, if you could only see your son now at age 7! You would be so proud of your soccer/baseball hero!! He is a very good boy and we make sure you are in his life daily!! He visits your family in Atlanta every summer. You are still in our hearts as you always will be!
