R. Trent Codd, Sr.

Richard Trent Codd, Sr. Fairview – R. Trent Codd, Sr., 89, of Fairview and formerly of Fort Lauderdale, FL, was called home to Heaven on Saturday, February 23, 2008. Mr. Codd was a CPA in his professional life and a lifelong Rotarian, but he had a special interest in and love for the theater and performing arts. Before moving to Fairview after his retirement, he was a proud volunteer at The Broward Center for the Per-forming Arts, selling tickets, seating guests and giving grand tours of the theater complex. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mildred Joyce Codd; a son, Richard Trent Codd, Jr. and his wife Celine, of Fairview; five loving grandsons and a precious baby great-granddaughter. Mr. Codd was preceded in death by a son, Christopher James Codd, who died in 2005. A graveside service of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, with a rosary to be said at 7:00 PM.
