Asheville~ Mildred E. Lepley, 90, died Friday, February 8, 2008 at Pisgah Manor Retirement Center.
A funeral will be held on Monday, February 11, at Mills River Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road is assisting the family.

Mildred Lepley was the only grandmother I ever knew; may her strenght, integrity, and humor be with her daughters as they reconcile her passing. I wish my grandmother peace and laughter as she begins the next phase of her journey. Mildred took my family in when we had nothing, may the same generosity live on in those she has left behind. Just like to say thanks to everyone with all of your prayers and thoughts for our family. I know some of my fondest memories of Grandma were of her swinging with me in our white rope hammock in IL and her telling me Knock-Knock jokes. And who can forget her ‘MerryChristmasHappyNewYear’ way of expression…lots of love to you all and sorry I couldn’t be there.
