Samuel Eugene Murray

Samuel Eugene Murray, 69, of Asheville, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Emerald Ridge HealthCare Center. Mr. Murray was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Ralph and Jennie Smith Murray. He worked as a plumber and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Daniel Eugene Murray of Mitchell Co. and Eric Dean Murray and wife Carla of Leicester; two daughters, Sammie Jean Murray and Christy Lynn Murray both of Enka; one brother, Larry Murray and wife Heidi of Beuford, SC and one sister, Anita Stewart and husband Richard of Charlotte. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Bartlett officiating.
