Samuel Eugene Murray, 69, of Asheville, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Emerald Ridge HealthCare Center.
Mr. Murray was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Ralph and Jennie Smith Murray. He
worked as a plumber and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel Eugene Murray of Mitchell Co. and Eric Dean Murray and wife Carla of Leicester; two daughters, Sammie Jean Murray and Christy Lynn Murray both of Enka; one brother, Larry Murray and wife Heidi of Beuford, SC and one sister, Anita Stewart and husband Richard of Charlotte.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Bartlett officiating.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
