  1. To the family of Ed Magruder,
Please accept our sincere sympathy at the passing of Ed. He was a dear friend and we will surely miss him.

  2. Greg and Family,

How sad I was to learn of your Dad’s death. I remeber fondly spending a lot of time with Mike growing up…at church, in scouts, etc. Many fun times were had at your home on Bear Creek. Your Mom and Dad accepted me as another one of the boys.

My memories of your Dad center around the church choir at Trinity. When I was in late junior high school, your Dad and Charles Mills encouraged me to join them in the tenor section of the Chancel Choir. I guess maybe we were the original Three Tenors!

I will miss seeing your Dad when I visit my folks in Asheville. Please take comfort in the knowledge that others share in your loss and will lift you and yours up in prayer in the coming days.

I know for sure that the Heavenly Chorus has another tenor singing now!

Well done thou good and faithful servant.

    Daren Hutchison

  3. Greg – I am so sorry about the passing of your father. He was one of my favorite people from Trinity and he and my Dad spent many happy years holding down the tenor line in the choir. May God bless you all at this time of tears and remembering.

  4. I am sorry to hear of your fathers’ passing. My mother, Eva C. Miller, worked with Marguerite at Iveys and I also worked with Mike.

Please know I have found memories of both of your parents.

    Sincerely,
Eva C. Miller and Miriam M. Porter

  5. Janet & Greg,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I took care of him once at his home on Bear Creek Rd. I actually saw your mother, too. He was a caring man and I am sure you will miss him.

My prayers for God’s comfort are with you.

    Kathey Lee, RN

  6. Dear Greg, Janet & family, I am sure you do not remember me after these years, but I was employed at Asheville Municipal Credit Union for several years and your dad was my ‘boss’ until he retired, then Doris Rigsby became manager. I later went on to be Asst. Mgr. of Arcade Federal Credit Union in Asheville. I will never forget your father, he was a wonderful boss, dear friend, and I loved his kind ways. He came to my dad’s funeral, even after he had retired, and my best memory was looking up and seeing him there. He did not have to come-but he took the time to be with his ‘past employee’. Please know that you all will be in our prayers and once again, know that I loved your dad especially, but your mom also. Joyce and Mike Bell

  7. Janet and your family,
I am so sorry about Mr.Magruder.It was a pleasure and honor to have cared fro him in his last days.I know that he will be greatly missed.
