Martha Wills Lamb

Martha Wills Lamb, 100, of Hominy Valley Retirement Center, and formerly of Black Mountain, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007. A native of Madison Co., she was preceded in death by her husband, Xavier S. Lamb; son, Joseph Paul Lamb, and grandson, Joel Paul Lamb. She was a member of Homer’s Chapel Baptist Church, in Black Mountain. Mrs. Lamb is survived by her grandchildren, Cindy Johnson and husband Doug, and Sandra Reeves and husband Edward; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Lamb; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Paula Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Dennis McCutcheon officiating. Interment will follow Paint Rock Cemetery, in Madison Co.
