Linda White Cumbie, 66, of Asheville, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at her residence.
A native of Rowan County, NC, she was a daughter of Mary Walker White of Salisbury, NC and of the late Roland White. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rocky Watts and a great-grandson, Chandler Moon.
Mrs. Cumbie was the office manager of The Cumbie and Trull School of Real Estate.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Cumbie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Roger Cumbie; two daughters, Lori Moon and her husband, Joe of China Grove, NC and Lisa Brady and her husband, Charlie of Boone, NC; one son, Jason Cumbie of Burnsville, NC; four grandchildren, Warrant Officer Jay Moon, Julie Moon and Lillie and Laura Brady; one sister, Judy Spry and her husband, Darrell of Salisbury, NC and one brother, Jeff White of Charleston, SC.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
Burial will be private.

Although I only knew you and Linda in a classroom setting, I am truely saddened by the news of her passing. It was obvious to me and anyone who saw you together that you shared a very deep and loving relationship. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

How shocked and saddened I was to learn of Linda’s death this morning. I know nothing I can say will in any way help fill the huge hole in your universe, but know the Cornwell family’s thoughts are with you as is any support we might be able to lend in the days, weeks and months ahead. The world is certainly less bright today without Linda.
I’ll always remember Linda’s wonderful smile and helpfulness at the CE classes. She will be missed by all who knew her as she left an indelible print on all our hearts.

I have lost both a daughter who was only 4 and my Father last August. I do not know your specific grief- but I know how I felt. Everything is as a dream at first. Time & prayer will make it bearable.
