Joseph Bernard Butler

Fairview – Joseph Bernard Butler, 81, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph B. and Eva Reynolds Butler. He was a US Navy veteran and retired from the US Postal Service. Mr. Butler is survived by his wife, Catherine Ann Surges Butler; two sons, Thomas M. Hammersla, and his wife Wanda, of Fairview and James P. Hammersla, and his wife Linda, of Manchester, Maryland and six grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Manchester, Maryland with interment in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Garrison Forest.
