Irma Hampton

Irma Sigmon Hampton, 91, of 27 Zephyr Drive, Asheville, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at the Hospice Solace Center. Mrs. Hampton was born in Morganton and was a daughter of the late Thomas Locke Sigmon and Geneva Frances Tilley Sigmon. She was a former co-owner and manager for National Photo Supply and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Hampton and Thomas Hampton, both of Asheville; two grandsons, Thomas Hampton of Richmond, VA and Duane Hampton of Mebane, NC; and three great-granddaughters. Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Joey Hoffman officiating.
