Thank you Ruth, my dear and beautful friend and mentor. I will forever remember you. Pat
I was sorry to read of Miss Ruth’s passing. She and my grandmother were cousins and I rembember her sister Eula as well. I was able to call my first home next store to her on 18th Bay street. She was a wonderful person to live next to as a brand new bride. The last time I saw her was on the death of my Mother when she and Eleanor came to see the family. She was a truly lovely person to know and her life will be remembered I know with many laughs, smiles and great stories. I am happy to have been able to say I knew her to. My prayers and thoughs are with your family. Sincerely, Sharon Fenton Lawrence
We have a lot of nice childhood memories of ‘Miss Ruth’ as the children called her. We lived next
door to the ‘Big Brick House’ on Lovitt Ave. in Norfolk back in the 1940’s. The Gilbert’s. She would take us to the Beach with Eleanor (Boogie) as she was called back then when they checked on the house being built at Ocean View. We were a happy bunch of kids. We loved the whole family, ‘Miss Miller’ and Aunt Eula and Annette, we called her Doddie. We lost contact over the years but they were always in our memories.
You and your family have our Deepest Sympathy.
