Asheville ~ Ethel Snyder Robinson, 84, of Asheville, died Friday, January 19, 2007 at John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center after a brief illness.
A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Snyder Sr. and Mae Rice Snyder and was preceded in death by her husband, Mack C. Robinson, who died in 1967. Mrs. Robinson was also preceded in death by a brother, Goldman Snyder and three sisters, Catherine White, Ruth Kennemore and Virginia Towe. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Skyland First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School class.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise Boss and her husband Charles of Machipongo, VA and Barbara Broadway and her husband Joe of Lexington S.C.; three sons, Mack Robinson and his wife Becky of Asheville, Bruce Robinson and his wife Denise of Beaufort, S.C. and Gary Robinson and his wife Becky of Canton; three sisters, Ruby Lynch of St. Petersburg, Fl., Rosa Lee Huff and Shirley M. Ford both of Newport News, Va. and a brother, Ben Snyder Jr. of Asheville; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Skyland First Baptist Church with Reverend David Honeycutt officiating with burial to follow at Shepherd Memorial Park in Naples.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 20th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made in Ethel?s memory to the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center, P.O. Box 5779, Asheville, NC 28813.
