William Pearlie Herron

William Pearlie Herron, 93, formerly of 201 Riverview Drive, Asheville, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Autumn Care of Waynesville. Mr. Herron was born in Swain County and was a son of the late Lee and Delia Pilketon Herron. He was married to Edna Buckner Herron who died in 1964 and Lottie O’Bryan Herron who died in 2001. He was a long distance driver for Clay Hyder Trucking Line in Hendersonville and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Flonnie Green of Belleview, WA, Loyce Howell of Waynesville, and Sana Sutton of Chattanooga, TN; two sons, Norris Herron of Hoquiam, WA and Austin Herron of Thomasville; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm Friday at Herron Cemetery in Bryson City with the Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
