Inez Whitfield West

Asheville ~ Inez Whitfield West, 98, of Asheville passed way on Friday, December 22, 2006. A native of Toccoa, GA, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Dora Hollifield Whitfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Winfred W. West, who passed away in 1991. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Asheville. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard with the Rev. Donna Painter officiating. Memorials may be made to the Eliada Home for Children, 2 Compton Drive, Asheville, NC 28806. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road is in charge of arrangements.
