James William Clark, Jr., 81, of 5 Piney Knob Estates, Marshall, died at his residence, Saturday, June 24, 2006.
He was the son of the late James W., Sr. and Nannie Cole Clark.
Mr. Clark worked as a construction mason for Cianbro Construction Co. and was a member of Dix Creek Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Margaret Mitchell Clark; one son, Roger Clark of Raleigh; step-daughter Stephanie Maxwell of Asheville; step-son Jack Hendrix, of El Paso, TX; and four step-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Clements officiating.
The Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team will provide military honors at Dix Creek Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
