Asheville ~ Jo Ann Giesenschlag, 77, died Friday, June 9, 2006 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
Jo Ann was born to Avo and Don Musgrove in Corsicana, Texas, on Jan, 22, 1929. Married to Clyde Giesenschlag in 1949 and settled in Houston, Texas for the first decade of their married life. Had two sons and then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laud with a degree in Education from the University of Houston in 1963.
Business moved the family to New Orleans where Jo Ann taught Ele-mentary School for many years. After retiring from teaching she worked tire-lessly with other members of the Aurora Garden Club, making dolls for the children's ward of Jo Ellen Hospital.
Jo Ann moved with her husband to Asheville in June of 2000.
She is survived by her brother Don Musgrove; her sons, Carl and his wife Virginia, Clyde and his wife Peggy; grandchildren, Wendy and her son Lucas, Rachael and her husband Nate and chil-dren Ethan and Olivia, Leila and her husband Stephen, Billy, Kevin and Eric.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road is in charge of arrangements.
