Lewis Edward Walton

Candler ~ Lewis Edward “Eddie” Walton, 63, of Candler died on Sunday, February 19, 2006 in a local hospital. A native of Buncombe County, Mr. Walton was the son of the late Wallace Walton and Jessie Heath of Brevard. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three uncles, Howard, Ernest and Arch Lance; one aunt, Grace Hayes. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Sadie Jean McCall of Brevard; two uncles, Nolan Lance of SC and Ralph Lance of Asheville. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday 2:00 P.M. in Averys Creek Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 P.M. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road prior to the service.
