Richard Howard “Rick” Henshaw, 46, of Asheville, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at his home.

A graduate of Erwin High School, he worked as a steel erector and for many years was a crew supervisor. Rick loved the outdoors, hiking, camping and watching sports, particularly his beloved Tarheels, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Braves. In addition to his mother, survivors include a daughter, Jessica Leigh Henshaw of Asheville; two sisters, Lisa Marie Vance of Weaverville and Cathleen Baldwin of Holly Springs; two nieces, Rebecca Chapman and Emma Baldwin; a nephew, Jackson Baldwin and his very special friend, Lana Lee of Loranger, LA.
Rick’s family will have a private memorial service and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813, to whom the family is very grateful for their care and affection.
