Denver Wells, 73, of Fairmont Road, Candler, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 28, 2005 at Mission Hospitals, Memorial Campus. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Walter riley and Louthena Woody Wells and was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Bates. Mr. Wells ran the produce stand on U.S. 19-23 in Candler prior to his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn B. Wells ; two daughters, Tonya kinney and Melissa Johnson; four sons, Mike, Greg, Gary and Mark Wells; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A celebration of life was held at 1:00pm October 31, 2005 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home. interment followed at Pisgah View Memorial Park.

  4. My prayers are with you during this difficult time. When I was a young girl,our family used to visit Mr. Wells at the produce stand he had on Sweeten Creek Rd..We always bought our produce from him.We were in the resturaunt business in Biltmore and all of you visited us too. That was many years ago, and I have since then lost both my mom and dad. But it is fond memories like these that keep our loved ones close in our hearts. St.John,14:1-3
