Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Family of Mary Locke, It is always distressing to see our friends pass away. Mary Locke was in the Lee Edwards Class of 44 and Buddy was in the 42 Class. My class was the 43 class and we were fortunate to have known both. Regardless of age, health, or any other circumstance we are never ready to lose our loved ones. The only possible comfort has to be our Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested concern of caring friends. We are thinking of you at this time and will hold you in our prayers. Joe Clark

  2. Though we all look forward to ‘going home’ to be with our Lord Jesus and our Maker who has been more than gracious to us, it is very difficult, as earhtly beings, to lose such a fine daughter, wife, mother and friend. Our days at Lee H. Edwards High School remain dear to us for the wonderful times allowed us while here on earth. Our condolences in this loss are extended to all of the family. May God bless and keep you in his loving care, as he is doing for Mary. Henry (Spike) May

  3. I was very sorry to hear of Mary Locke’s passing. My grandmother, Sara Cocke, was one of her closest friends and has always told me the greatest stories of their adventures! I know she will miss her dear friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  4. Mary Locke and Frances: My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this sad time–but my memories of growing up on Hilltop Road are such happy ones! Love to you both.

  10. We feel very fortunate to have known Mary Locke. She had a wonderful sence of style and grace. She will surely be missed.

  11. Dear Frances and Mary Locke, I am very saddened upon hearing of the death of your mother. But I find great joy in the memories of growing up with you two and your parents, the Busbee Road gang. Your mother and father taught us to jitter bug and your mother’s laughter would fill up the whole kitchen when she would prepare a snack for us. Both of your parents and you were very special to me as I grew up, and I so enjoyed all the time I spent in your home. God bless.
