Wanda and George,
We are so sorry for your loss and please know if we can be of help to you in any way all you have to do is let us know.
I worked at Valley Springs PEP for the last two years while Lacy was a student there. I am so blessed to have known her. She always called me ‘Mrs. Carrie’ (no matter that I’m not married). My son and I saw her only recently while at the fair and it was the last time I saw her. I will remember that day for that reason more than anything. My heart goes out to Lacy’s family, teachers, and friends. As for me, I thank God that I was given the chance to know her; even if it was for only a short time.
Lacy was a charming and sweet young woman. Everytime I saw her in Dottie’s room, she greeted me with warmth and a smile. I will miss her very much and pray that her loving parents recover from their grief as soon as possible. Though I am unable to attend the service, please know that my prayers are with all of you and my heart with Lacy.

I worked with Lacy at Valley Springs Middle school. She was always so cheery and greeted me in the morning. She had so many stories to tell, especially about her family’s motorcycle experiences. She was a smart, beautiful, sweet girl who made a difference with so many people. Lots of love to her family. I will not be able to attend the service, but I will be keeping your family in my prayers.

Lacy was such a sweetheart and made me smile so many times. I enjoyed working with her when Dotty’s and our class got together. I’ll never forget her first presentation in class. We are all better people for having known her. My thoughts are with you and thank you for sharing Lacy with us.
Words seem so empty when we wish to express our feelings. This is a time of sorrow as we recognize the passing of one of our precious children. I was so blessed to have known Lacy when she and Deidra were in Dotty’s class together. She was such a pleasure. I looked forward every morning to her wonderful smile and greeting for me when I went out to put Dee on the bus. May God richly bless you with the comfort that only He can provide in times like these. My love goes to your family. Cathy Johnson

I am so sorry to hear about Lacy’s passing. I work at the Valley Springs cafeteria and i remember Lacy so well. You will be in my prayers and I am sure that Lacy’s is in the arms of the angels. I remember helping her teacher get food for her diabetes condition and she was a sweet girl.
Wanda and George:
Words alone cannot express my deepest sympathy in the loss of your God Given Child Lacy.
I lost my identical twin sister, Evolyn Knight on January 5, 2005 and then on January 27, 2005 we lost Richard’s youngest son Tony Kelley. God has been with us and lifted us up and helped us to cope.
He will do the same thing for both of you.
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away…be so blessed with her life and her love for both of you. You had a special child and now she is with the Lord….happy with the Lord and Savior….keep up your faith and she will be waiting for you in a beautiful place with no sickness, no hardships, just to be at peace with him is all we want.
We were not promised tomorrows and neither was Lacy….She was an angel on earth and will be an angel in heaven.
I retired from Asheville School and am working at Montreat College. Just can’t retire..I love to be with people. I have a unlisted number at home so keep it in a safe place and when you feel you want to talk nothing would please me any more than a call from you..298-2917.
I am usually home by 5:30 and go to bed as early as 8:00..I have to get up at 5:30 in the morning to go to work..it is a long drive from Haw Creek.
Take care of yourself and look up not down. God will be with you I know. He is the great Comforter!
I Love You,
:)arolyn Kelley
