Lucille Rice yarbrough, 83, of 2 Salola Street, Asheville, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late James Nelson and Decie Stewart Rice. She was retired from Terry Enterprises.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Elliott A. Yarbrough; a daughter, Terry Honeycutt and her husband Ron of Candler; two sons, Gene Yarbrough and his wife Shirley of Wilmington and Charles Yarbrough and his wife Shirley of Roaring River, NC; three sisters, Bonnie Tesner of Forest City, Betty Evans of Asheville and Margaret Greene of Candler; a brother, Glenn Rice of Weaverville; eight grandchildren, Tim, Scot, Tracy, Beverly, Pam, Donna, Mark and Vicki; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Doctor Joe Yelton officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens.
Her family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Friends and family are also invited to the residence on Salola Street from 3:00-5:00 pm Sunday.
