Beatrice Irene Penland Fisher, 58, of 51 Surrett Road, Candler, died Monday, April 25, 2005.
Mrs. Fisher was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Ernest M. and Thursey Mae Bowman Penland. She was preceded in death by her husband Thad Carroll Fisher and by a grandson Joseph Dewayne “Little Joe” Rogers. She was a graduate of Enka High School and was a former employee of American Enka/BASF.
Surviving are two daughters, Christina Justice and her husband Chris of Candler and Lurleen Faye “Sissy” Rogers of Candler; two sons Bobby Lee Fisher and his wife Melissa of Candler and Carroll Dwight Fisher and his wife Debra of Asheville; ten grandchildren, Donna Kay Fisher, William Lee Fisher, Amanda Marie Rogers, Adam Lee Fisher, Michael Jeffery Alvin Justice, Brandon Lee Fisher, Crystal Dawn Fisher, Anthony “Tony” Dean Rogers, William Thad Justice and Tyler Alan Rogers; her fiance Larry Banks and his son Michael Banks; a step-son Edgar Penland; four sisters Roseann Mashburn of Franklin, Ernestine Moore and Kathy Hensley of Candler and Margie Frady of Leicester; and one brother George Ernest “Buster” Penland of Candler.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Hominy Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Joe Yelton and the Rev. Harold Webb officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

sorry to hear about bumblebee i know she is in better hands now an not suffering any more she is walking the streets of gold.
I didnt know her very well but she welcomed me and my kids with open arms.She made me feel like part of the family.She will be dearly missed.

My Dearest Sis, I am so lost without you and I do know where you are and I know that you are enjoying being with mama and daddy and I will just carry on the best that I know how. All the calls that we had before the Lord came back to get you are with me and always will be and no one can take them away from me, because they are my memories to keep. All the good times that we had together growing up and in the last few years are mine and no one can take them away either. The best thing about all of this is that one day I will get to be with you, mama, daddy, granny, and grandpa as well as the rest of my loved ones. Mama it is almost a month since you went to heaven. I miss you so much. I still catch myself picking up the phone to call you everyday. I know I will see you again one day. I know you are no longer suffering with sickness and pain. Just remember I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.
