October 18, 1962 ~ August 28, 2026

Donna left us to be in the presence of the Lord on August 28, 2026 after a brief illness.

She is survived by her father, Earl Searcy; husband, Tony Hughes; daughter, Ashley Borrosco; son, Adam Hughes and wife Ashley; grandchildren, Aubrie Borrosco, Gage Borrosco and Fynley Hughes. Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret McQueen, and brothers, David Searcy, Darryl Searcy and Dennis Searcy.

Donna was loved by everyone and left a lasting impression on all she came in contact with. She lived with such a joyful spirit that brightened every room, leaving her children and grandchildren a legacy of unconditional love and warm laughter. Words will never express the hole left in this world without her in it.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, 72 Long Shoals Road, Arden, NC 28704. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
