Glenda Faye Nesbitt

In Loving Memory of Glenda Faye Nesbitt who passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Born on November 13, 1950, Glenda loved her family, music, playing the piano, and writing poetry. These were among the things that brought her the greatest joy throughout her life.

Glenda was the mother of three children: Robbie Treadway and his wife, Donna; Cindy Treadway; and Tracie Donati. She was also a grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-grandmother to thirteen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Faye Nesbitt, who taught her about Jesus Christ and the importance of faith.

Glenda is survived by her siblings, David “Eddie” Nesbitt and his wife, Sherry; Kaye Young; and Wanda White, as well as her best friend since childhood, who was like a sister, Millie Owenby. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whom she loved very much.

A special thank you goes to her oldest grandson, Nathan Todd, who stayed by her side and helped care for her during the last few months of her life. His love, help, and presence meant a great deal to our family.

We find comfort in knowing that Glenda is now at peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Glenda will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her love of family, music, piano, poetry, and most of all, her faith.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00–3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Groce Funeral Home on Long Shoals Road in Arden. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., with a graveside service immediately afterward at Emma’s Grove Baptist Church in Fairview, North Carolina.
