Melinda Faith Hopkins Stamm

Melinda Faith Hopkins Stamm, 68, passed away on August 21, 2026, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. She was born on September 11, 1957, in Monroe, Georgia, to the late Mr. Garland Earl Hopkins and Mrs. Lillian Joan Hopkins.

Melinda is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Westberry; her two pride and joys, her grandsons Phoenix and Nevin; her sister and best friend, Cindy; and her brother, Rocky Hopkins.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, as well as her sister, Pam Bray.

Melinda worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved a crisp, cold Diet Coke. She loved people and made friends everywhere she went. She had a laugh so infectious that you couldn’t help but laugh with her. She loved playing bingo, especially in Cherokee. She had a smile that would light up a room. She was definitely one of a kind.
