A native of Buncombe Co., Janette was a daughter of the late Mary Etta Franklin Kuykendall.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Lee Sellers; brother, Wayne Kuykendall (Loyce) and their sons; niece, Penny Carlisle and her family; nephews, Bosco Sellers and his family, Rod Kuykendall and his family, and Kelvin Kuykendall and his family.
She was employed at Steelcase for 22 years and worked in the medical field for an additional 10 years.
Her family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Allen Rash, of Trinity Baptist CHurch will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
