Robert Arthur Graeme, 34, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away on April 25, 2026, in his hometown. Born on November 30, 1991, in Asheville, Robert lived a life marked by creativity, athleticism, and a deep appreciation for the arts and history.
A graduate of T.C. Roberson High School in 2010, Robert went on to pursue his HVAC degree and license at the Tulsa Welding School in Jacksonville, Florida. He excelled in his coursework having both perfect attendance and making the dean’s list graduating in 2018. He worked in the Jacksonville, FL area and received high praise for his skills as an installer. His intelligence and skill were evident in all that he pursued.
Robert was an exceptional athlete who played soccer throughout much of his life. His love for sports extended to tennis as well. Beyond athletics, he was a talented drummer and artist with a keen interest in music and drawing. A deep thinker with a charming personality, Robert had a natural ability to connect with others and was known for his loyalty as a friend. His creativity and curiosity also fueled his love for history.
He is survived by his loving family: his mother Cindy Schultz and her partner George Thorp; his father and stepmother, Bob and Jeannie Graeme; his sister Katelynn Graeme and her husband Ben Doolittle; and his cherished niece Lily. He will also be deeply missed by his aunt Marianne Fortuna, uncle Doug Schultz and aunt Kathy Schultz and many cousins: Brian Connell (Talli), Jennifer Kiiss (Mark), Catharine Connell, Laura Fortuna, David Fortuna (Meredith), Matt Schultz (Chelsea), Nicole Schultz, Bobby Dean (Angie), Kristin Gibson (Mike), and Robert’s loving girlfriend, Amber Reis, as well as his many friends and extended family.
Robert was predeceased by his grandparents Harold and Betty Schultz; grandmother Catharine Graeme; grandfather Edward Graeme; aunt Catharine Graeme; and cousin Rob Fortuna.
Those who knew Robert will remember him as a gifted individual whose talents spanned many areas. His memory will live on through the lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and creativity. May Robert’s memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 60 Church Street, Asheville, NC. 28801.
