A native of the area, she was born in Asheville on January 29, 1929, to the late Paul J. Alexander and Lillie Mae Snelson.
Frances was a devoted mother whose life was defined by her generous, giving spirit and a sparkling personality that brightened every room she entered. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Beverly Haines and Bobby Ducker, along with a loving extended family. Frances was preceded in death by Brenda Bledsoe, Donna Ledford, and Albert Mullinax.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, located at 72 Long Shoals Road, Arden, NC 28704, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 PM at Averys Creek Christian Church Cemetery.
