Dennis Mitchell Edwards, 59, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the Elizabeth House.
Mr. Edwards was born in Asheville to the late Thurman and Mary Elizabeth Brackett Edwards. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Doug Edwards and Davey Edwards.
Dennis was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also adored his family and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Lewis Edwards; a son, Bryan Edwards (Lisa Miller); a daughter, Laura Edwards (Thomas Parnell); three grandchildren, Blake Reynolds, Gypsie River Carroll and Sebastian Chapman and a brother, Daniel Edwards.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April, 17, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends prior the service from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
A private burial will be held at Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
