Born in: Henderson County, North Carolina
Resided in: Weaverville, North Carolina

Linda Lee Hart, 83, of Weaverville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 25, 2026, at Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville.

She was born May 19, 1942, in Hendersonville to the late Henry Dwight and Pauline Pace Edney. She was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Albert “Butch” Hart and her loving sister and best friend, Doris Wilkins, of Hendersonville.

Linda graduated from Dana High School. She chose a career in caring for others as she completed her CNA degree in nursing, while employed at Carolina Village Retirement Community for 16 years. She went on to further her education at Asheville-Buncombe Technical College in law enforcement. She finished her career in serving and protecting her community by eventually retiring from Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department after 20 years of service. Linda enjoyed going to the lake, cheering her loudest at her grandson’s ballgames and motocross events and spending quality time with her loved ones. Her devotion to family left a legacy that all of her loved ones will strive to embody.

Left to honor her memory are two daughters: Cheryl London, and Michelle Easterly and her husband Joe; one son, Mike Hart and his wife Jackie; grandsons: Justin Norton (Marissa), Zach London (Brenna), Sam Hart, and two bonus grandsons: Michael Easterly (Krystle), and Zachary Easterly; a beloved brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Nell Hart; and many nieces and nephews that she loved like her own children. She was a “Mom” to many and a “Mamaw” to all that loved her dearly.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday March 17, 2026 at 2PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 538 Tracy Grove Road, Hendersonville, with Preacher Richard Merck of Sugarloaf Baptist Church officiating.
